- 1 lb. white American cheese sliced from the deli*
- 1, 4 oz. can green chiles diced and undrained**
- 1, 4 oz. can jalapeños diced and undrained
- 1 cup milk

*You must use the white American cheese from the deli, it has a different taste and consistency from the prepackaged kind.
**For a milder queso, use 2, 4 oz. cans of green chiles and omit the can of jalapeños.
