These super cute cake pops are easy to make and they are also great for trick or treat. Make a Frankenstein, a ghost, a pumpkin, and other popular Halloween symbols with this easy-to-follow recipe. Read on for step-by-step instructions.

What you need:

  1. Breadcrumbs (made out of sheet cake)
  2. Cake pop sticks
  3. Canola oil
  4. Baking sheet
  5. Candy melts (various colors)

Instructions:

Step 1: Break the sheet cake into small pieces and put them in your food processor. Afterward, transfer the breadcrumbs to a bowl.

Step 2: Add a quarter cup of frosting. Mix until you get a smooth cake pop dough.

Step 3: Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out some dough and roll into a small ball. Place each ball on the baking sheet. Make as many balls as you like. Once done, shape them into classic Halloween symbols like pumpkins, ghosts, or your favorite movie characters. Pop them into the fridge for 15 minutes.

Step 4:  Take the pops out of the fridge. Dip one end of a wooden stick into the candy melt and carefully insert in into the cake pop. This ensures the cake pop stick stays in place.

Step 5: Add a thickening agent like canola oil to the candy melt. Start dipping the cake pops into the candy coating, making sure to tap off the excess. Use different colors of candy melts, depending on what you want to make. Use white for ghosts, orange for pumpkins, etc.

Step 6: You may add nuts, sprinkles, and other edible decor to the cake pops.
