This is THE BEST QUESO RECIPE, and it takes just minutes to make! It's a white queso that's very similar to what you get in an authentic Mexican restaurant.
- 1 lb. white American cheese, sliced from the deli*
- 1, 4 oz. can green chiles, diced and undrained**
- 1, 4 oz. can jalapeños, diced and undrained
- 1 cup milk
- Heat all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted.
*You must use the white American cheese from the deli, it has a different taste and consistency from the prepackaged kind. **For a milder queso, use 2, 4 oz. cans of green chiles and omit the can of jalapeños.
