Fudge Pie

Fudge Pie - It's another frugalicious and fast recipe from The Budget Diet, and it's the perfect Valentine's dessert! Fudge Pie is frugal because it's made with ingredients that we almost always have on hand! Fudge Pie is fast...30 minutes total preparation and baking time! Ingredients

  • 1, 9 " frozen pie crust unbaked, do not thaw (do not buy deep dish)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate squares melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs 1 minute.
  3. Add flour, sugar, vanilla, melted butter and melted chocolate and beat until combined.
  4. Pour into unbaked pie crust.
  5. Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until center is almost set.
  6. Cool 1 hour.
  7. Top with vanilla ice cream and homemade hot fudge sauce to serve.

 

For an extra dose of decadence, drizzle with The Budget Diet’s homemade hot fudge sauce!

I agree with Dawn. The pie was delicious but I had to cook for an additional 15 minutes. I will make this again! 🙂

The pie tasted great but the cooking time is way off. It should be around 45-50 mins. I had to put mine back in the oven when I checked it at 35 minutes.

This just looks awesome! I’m almost positive I pinned this on Pinterest the other day. Lol! My hubby is really a picky eater, even with dessert so I know if I make this he won’t eat it…but that’s okay with me…more for me that way, huh?! Ha!
