Opinion Bureau is a fairly global survey site where you can complete short surveys and polls to earn. It's a legit platform that pays users, but it really doesn't pay too much per hour. In my testing, I found that it's an okay platform, but there are higher-paying survey sites out there.
That said, if you want an easy way to share your opinion to earn, you can check out Opinion Bureau. The fact it's in 20+ countries is also a selling point. Plus, you only need $5 to redeem most rewards. However, many users have negative reviews recently, which I'll share later in this review.
I signed up and explored Opinion Bureau to learn how it works. And this review is sharing its features, earning potential, and what other real users are saying about this company.

What Is Opinion Bureau?
Opinion Bureau runs a global market research panel that pays you to share your opinions on products, services, and current events.
The company partners with brands and research firms to collect consumer feedback. And it says you can “Be an Influencer” and basically get paid for your opinions.
The platform is similar to other paid survey sites like Branded Surveys and Survey Junkie. It's free to sign up for and is a very simple, easy side hustle overall.
You won't get rich with this website; think $2 to $3 per hour kind of range. But it is a reputable company that does payout and has a proven track record.
How Does Opinion Bureau Work?
You sign up for a free account with your email to get started. Right now, Opinion Bureau is available in 20+ countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, India, France, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, the Philippines, South Africa, Nigeria, and Vietnam.
It's actually one of the more international survey websites out there. Once you sign up, you then complete a short profile questionnaire to you can get matched with releavant opportunities.
Currently, there are 3 main ways to make money with Opinion Bureau:
- Answer paid surveys
- Take part in daily polls when they go live
- Invite your friends through the referral program
I've rarely seen polls go live when testing Opinion Bureau in Canada, which is a bit unfortunate. As for the surveys, they usually pay anywhere from $0.05 to about $1, sometimes more if you get lucky.
The UI is okay and the surveys don't disqualify you too much. But again, I think companies like Branded Surveys, Pinecone Research, and Swagbucks have higher earning potential.
As for the referral bonus, it's $1 per person you invite for some countries. But in other countries, it can be about $0.25, so keep this in mind.
Overall, Opinion Bureau is your standard paid survey experience. It does an okay job, but it's not groundbreaking.
Is Opinion Bureau Legit?
Opinion Bureau has been around for years, but the website has very poor reviews. In fact, it has a 1.5 star rating on Trustpilot, with many users complaining they rarely qualify for surveys. So while the company is legit and does pay, it's often tricky to actually reach the cash out minimum.
Here's what some recent Opinion Bureau reviews had to say on Trustpilot:
- Ryan Newton says: “Absolute waste of time. Sends regular emails inviting you to complete surveys for cash rewards that “match your profile”. After completing the whole survey it then tells you you’re not eligible.”
- Groovers says: “Opinion Bureau is THE worst survey site I have ever used and I've tried a lot! If you even manage to get to the minimum £10 withdrawal good luck getting it. After waiting 45 days for it to become ‘redeemable' I asked for it through PayPal and was then told it takes 10 days to ‘process'.”
- Nish says: “I am using this site past 3 years they given payment & replied as soon as possible. “
As you can see, two pretty scathing reviews and one positive one. But the 1.5 star rating really tells the story here.
Cashing Out & Rewards – What Are Your Options?
Opinion Bureau pays you in points. You can redeem them for PayPal cash or gift cards to companies like Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
Keep in mind, gift card rewards can vary based on the country you sign up in. Many rewards take $5 to redeem, but some require 1,000 points, which is worth $10.
I like the fact that there's cash and gift cards. You also receive all rewards electronically, usually within a day or two of cashing out.
HOWEVER – Opinion Bureau can take weeks to actually release your funds! This is a massive red flag for a survey platform, because it means it can take 45 to 60 days for you to actually redeem your earnings!
This is frankly a deal-breaker for me, and it's why I don't recommend using Opinion Bureau.

Earning Potential
In my experience, you can usually earn about $2 to $3 per hour with Opinion Bureau. And how much you make per week or month also depends on how many surveys you qualify for, since sometimes, you run out of available surveys.
If you stay consistent, you could earn an extra $10 to $50 per month. The site works best as a small side hustle you check when you have spare time, not as a daily money-maker.
But again…You have to wait ages to actually cash out, so I don't think this is a very good way to earn money online.

The Best Sites Like Opinion Bureau I Recommend Trying
Considering the negative reviews and slow payout times, I don't recommend using Opinion Bureau.
Instead, I suggest trying out some of these survey apps and websites. I've tested and cashed out with these, and they're much better:

Final Thoughts – Is Opinion Bureau Worth It?
After signing up for Opinion Bureau and reading the reviews from other users, I don't think it's worth using. Surveys are too inconsistent, and it takes forever to get your payments approved and cashed out. Plus, there are tons of higher-paying platforms out there.
I like that this company is fairly international. But aside from that, there's no real point in signing up.
