That said, Snaplii is different from many passive reward apps. You need to search for local deals or gift cards that you want to buy to receive cash back. Although you can also link your card to earn cash back automatically from certain retailers.
Overall, Snaplii is a decent way to save a bit more each month. And I think it's worth using if you live in North America, especially if you're responsible for most of your household's shopping.
How Does Snaplii Work?
Once you download the Snaplii app (available on iOS and Android), you create an account with your email.
You can then begin exploring all of the different ways Snaplii pays you with cash back.
One of the main ways is to purchase gift cards directly from Snaplii. The app works with 300+ retailers, and you can buy gift cards through the app, earn cash back, and then shop with your gift card like normal.
Snaplii cash-back rates are often in the 2% to 12% range. But new members get a juicy 30% cashback welcome bonus, which is honestly a sweet app sign up bonus.
For example, in my account, I qualify for a 30% cash back on a $20 Uber Eats gift card as a new member. This works out to $6 in free money; not bad for a $20 purchase at a company I plan on using anyways!
Once you purchase a gift card, it lives in your Snaplii digital wallet. You can then use the gift card when shopping online or in-store depending on the retailer.

I also like that this part is basically passive income. And it's similar to apps like Pogo which pay you passively whenever you shop and sell your data, effectively.
Now, all of your Snaplii cash back deposits in your wallet as Snaplii Cash. This is the app's cashback system. You can then use Snaplii cash to purchase gift cards, which is how you cash out basically.
There's also a referral bonus, so you can invite your friends to join and earn some easy cashback that way. But overall, I'd say purchasing gift cards is the main way to earn with Snaplii, with connecting your bank cards being the secondary method.

You can cash out your Snaplii Cash for gift card rewards. You can't cash out for PayPal money or direct bank transfers at this time. And the minimum cash-out requirement is $10 for many gift cards.

Final Thoughts – Is Snaplii Worth It?
If you do most of the shopping for your household and don't mind buying gift cards first, then Snaplii could be worth using. And I love that it also has passive earning options alongside the main gift card system.
Just be careful to avoid overspending. Buying gift cards to earn cash back is awesome. But you need to ensure you actually need those gift cards in the first place.
