Add this DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub to your beauty regimen and you won't regret it. Have glowing and healthy skin.If you haven’t tried creating your own beauty products, then this DIY lemon sugar scrub is worth it. It’s a lovely addition to your beauty routine. Moreover, it won’t cost you a fortune as you can find the materials in your kitchen.

What you need:

  1. Lemons
  2. White sugar
  3. Mason jar
  4. Coconut oil
  5. Bowl

Beauty tips:

  1. White sugar is for exfoliation.
  2. Coconut oil is for moisturizing.
  3. Lemon is good for skin.

If the ingredients are complete, then let us begin. Slice your lemons in half and squeeze all the juice from the lemon into a bowl. For the juice to come out easier, heat up the lemon. If you have a juicer, then you can also use that. After you have extracted the juice, remove the seeds from the bowl.

Step 1: Squeeze all the juice from the lemons.

Next, you will measure how much white sugar you need by pouring it first into the mason jar. After that, add it into the bowl of lemon juice. Stir until you achieve a thick yet liquefied mixture.

Step 2: Add white sugar into the bowl of lemon zest. Stir.

Grab the coconut oil. Coconut oil hardens when cold, soft when in room temperature and liquid when heated up. So keep the coconut oil in room temperature, and scoop about 2 and a half tablespoon. Add into the sugar-lemon mixture.

Step 3: Add a spoonful of coconut oil.

Use the spoon to gradually mix the oil. Make sure not to stir fast as you will make the oil clumpy. Mix until the oil blends well with the sugar and lemon zest. Add some more white sugar to give the scrub a thicker texture. Stir.

Step 4: Slowly mix the coconut oil to avoid being clumpy.

Finally, when the scrub is thick enough, put it into the mason jar for packaging. Seal tightly.
