Be a winner to your kids with this 5-minute DIY slime! A fun, quicky and sticky project!

Make this summer unforgettable for your kids with this homemade slime. This is so simple as you will only need glue and Borax for this project. Moreover, it only takes about 5 minutes to create. You can also let your kids help you out. I hope you will have fun doing this as I am. Read on for instructions.

What you need:

  1. Glue (either clear, gel or white)
  2. Borax detergent booster
  3. Measuring cup & spoon
  4. Three bowls & spatula
  5. Glitters, small toys or any embellishments

First, you have to create the Borax solution. Pour a teaspoon of Borax in a bowl and mix it with 1/3 cup of water. Stir.

Step 1:Mix 1/3 cup of water and a teaspoon on Borax in a bowl.

Get another bowl. Pour one cup of water and mix an entire container of glue. You may use clear glue for clear slime, white glue for opaque slime or gel glue for translucent slime.

Step 2Mix one cup of water and an entire container of glue in a separated bowl.

Now that you have created the two solutions, it is time to mix them up. Pour the Borax solution into a bowl as well as the glue solution.

Step 3:Mix those two solutions into one bowl.

Use spatula to mix them. You may notice the glue easily mixes with the Borax giving you a slimy texture.

Step 4:Stir until you achieve a slimy texture.

If all the water is absorbed, take your glitter, small toys or any embellishments to give some character to your slime(in this tutorial, little numbers and letters are used). And, just mix them up.

Step 5:Put some toys, glitter or other embellishments to give character to the slime.

And you are done! Get that slime out of bowl and let your kids play with it.

Step 6:Your slime is ready for kids to play.

Store your slime in a zip lock bag to keep its slimy texture. It is also a great party favor. You may use food coloring to bring some color to it.

It works great!! Just make sure you pour both at the same time ? I didn’t first time I made it. I had a little glue mixture left over. Kids played with it all day!!!
