Is Surveyworld Legit Or A Scam? – Here’s My Honest Surveyworld Review

Surveyworld is a popular survey and research company panel that's available in 70+ countries around the world. However, after testing it out, it's not my favorite paid survey platform. And while the company is legit, it has many negative reviews and a very low Trustpilot rating.

If you're looking for an easy way to make money online, Surveyworld sounds like a dream. However, I've tested dozens of survey sites over the last 7+ years, and I think there are many better choices out there than Surveyworld.

My Surveyworld review is covering how this platform works, my personal experience with using it, and what expectations you should have so you can decide if it's right for you.

My Key Takeaways:

  • Surveyworld is free to sign up for
  • This website helps connect users to different survey panels and market research opportunities
  • Surveyworld doesn't pay you directly and just connects you to other companies
  • We don't recommend using Surveyworld since it's confusing and is just a middleman
  • Online ratings for Surveyworld are very poor and this site isn't worth using in my opinion

Is Surveyworld Legit?

Surveyworld is a reputable company that helps people find paid survey panels to participate in. However, its advertisements are very misleading. Surveyworld doesn't actually pay you; it just connects you to different companies and gets paid for doing so. In my opinion, it's legit, but not worth using because it doesn't pay you directly. Plus, it has a poor 2.8 star rating on Trustpilot and many negative reviews.

A lack of customer support options and a confusing website are two massive downsides. And it's also pretty unclear what the website actually offers and who is behind it.

Again, Surveyworld isn't a scam, but I don't think it's the best paid survey site out there. You're much better off with alternative survey sites like Survey JunkiePinecone Research, or even other GPT websites like Freecash.

What Is Surveyworld.me?

Surveyworld.me is a paid survey and research panel that began in the Netherlands in 2017. The website is operated by e-Bron Marketing and connects participants to different survey companies and research opportunities where they can make money for sharing their opinion.

Surveyworld

Surveyworld is also known as a survey router. These are websites that don’t have their own surveys but rather collect surveys from third-party providers on their website.

When you click on a survey they redirect you to the actual providers where you take the surveys.

A red flag right off the bat is that there’s not a whole lot of information on the company or the management team behind it. This website isn't accredited by the BBB (Better Business Bureau) either.

But according to its website, Surveyworld has over 200 panels running across 70+ countries. It also states it has over 5 million members at the time of writing.

 The Highest Paying Online Surveys.

How Does Surveyworld Work?

SurveyWorld is completely free to use like other get-paid-to websites. All you have to do is sign up, take part in open surveys and research opportunities, and then get paid.

The platform is available in dozens of countries, including the United States, Netherlands, Canada, and Australia.

Once you create a Surveyworld account, it helps match you with open survey opportunities and research panels where you can complete surveys to get paid.

Surveyworld About

Note: This is the most important part about Surveyworld.me; this website doesn't pay you itself, but rather connects you to paid survey opportunities from other companies.

This also means Surveyworld makes money by referring panelists to these different websites. It's not the actual company running surveys and collecting market data from participants.

On some survey sites you collect points for all of the surveys you complete, however, this isn’t the case on Surveyworld as you need to sign up for each individual survey site you are redirected to.

So to be clear- Surveyworld does not provide any paid opportunities itself. They don’t send you online surveys to take, nor do they manage any of the rewards – all they do is inform you of the research.

This doesn’t mean you won’t get paid for doing surveys but it’s something to keep in mind as you consider your options.

How To Sign Up

Honestly, Surveyworld is pretty confusing to navigate, and it's not clear how you sign up or even use the site at first glance.

There's a lot of vague info on the homepage and various infographics. But there isn’t even a sign-up button on their website. So right off the bat it’s not clear how to get started with them.

It wasn’t until I googled “SurveyWorld Sign Up” that I was directed to a page with a sign up button.

Upon clicking this I was redirected to a sign up page entirely in Dutch for something called ‘Opinion World’ – not even SurveyWorld. OpinionWorld is absolutely a legit survey site however it is strange that there is no way to sign up for SurveyWorld.

How Much Does Surveyworld Pay?

Since Surveyworld connects you to different survey panels, how much money you make depends on the partner you get connected to. But this is definitely a lower-paying side hustle. Most survey sites pay $1 to $5 per hour max, and this is just a way to make quick money, not a full-time job.

This is the nature of beermoney websites, so don't expect to earn more than $10 to $100 per month with Surveyworld's partners (assuming you put in the time to answer surveys.)

Payout methods also vary depending on the sites Surveyworld recommends but often include:

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Surveyworld promotes legitimate survey sites
  • You can make some money without much effort
  • Anyone with an Internet connection can take part
  • Surveyworld works with dozens of panels and survey sites from around the world

Cons:

  • You can’t make money directly from the site as all surveys are third-party
  • The website is unclear and difficult to navigate
  • Not transparent in who is running it

Other Surveyworld Reviews From Real Users

SurveyWorld is pretty poorly rated everywhere you look.  On TrustPilot the site has a very low star rating. Many users complain that they stopped receiving surveys or hearing from SurveyWorld when they finally get near their pay-out requirement.

Other common complaints about Surveyworld relate to the amount of time it takes to accumulate any kind of money. For some it can take hours to make as little as $5.

These are very common complaints about survey sites in general.

Remember, this isn't a high-paying side hustle. If you want to make more money, you're better off using side gig apps like DoorDash or making money online with freelancing.

Is SurveyWorld A Scam?

SurveyWorld isn't a scam, and the platform connects people to other survey panels that they can use to make money online. However, it's just a middleman and doesn't actually pay you itself for completing surveys.

Paid survey sites can be a good way to make money online as a beginner. And, websites like SurveyWorld help you find reputable panels to join.

However, I suggest joining those websites directly instead since this saves a step and yields the same result.

Best Surveyworld Alternatives

I made a video covering some of my favorite survey sites you can use instead of Surveyworld. And this comes from 7+ years of my experience in testing these sites!

The funny thing is, many of my recommendations are also listed on Surveyworld's website. But again, there's no need to go through a middleman because you can just sign up for these survey panels yourself.

Anyways, here are my recommendations!

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is similar to SurveyWorld as it also aggregates surveys from other sites. It's owned by a massive consumer insights platform and market research agency called DISQO.

SurveyJunkie

The main difference is that Survey Junkie has more positive reviews and only requires $5 to cash out, so you can realistically make money.

  • Requirements: Must be in the US, Canada, or Australia
  • Pay: Survey Junkie has a point-based system in which you earn points for the surveys you complete. One point is equivalent to $0.01 USD. For example you could complete a 10 minute survey for 40 points ($0.40 USD)
  • Payment Methods: PayPal money, gift cards, and direct deposit.

Start making money with Survey Junkie!

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is a safe and legit site where you earn money for completing surveys. It also has occasional opportunities to get paid to test products.

Pinecone-research

The best part about Pinecone Research is that you make $3 for every survey you complete, so it's more reliable than Surveyworld.me.

  • Requirements:  It’s free to join but you must be 13 and a resident of the US, UK, Canada, or Germany.
  • Pay: About $3 per survey (10-20 mins)
  • Payment Methods: Includes PayPal money, gift cards, prepaid Visas, and checks.

Try out Pinecone Research!

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a popular microtask website that's one of the most popular Surveyworld alternatives out there.

It’s also different from other survey sites as you can also earn money from watching ads, downloading apps, shopping online, scanning receipts, playing mobile games, trying products, and from paid trivia games.

Swagbucks sign up

As you complete tasks you earn Swagbucks or SB, and 100 SB is worth $1 USD.

  • Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to join and can reside almost anywhere in the world.
  • Pay:  The pay varies depending on the tasks although for 10-15 min surveys you can expect about 75 SB ($0.75), and 1-3 SB ($0.01 – $0.03) for watching a 2-3 minute video.
  • Payment Methods: Swagbucks offers dozens of gift cards starting at just $1 and PayPal money at $5.

Branded Surveys

One additional SurveyWorld alternative you can try out is Branded Surveys. And this is especially true if you want to spend a decent amount of time answering surveys each month.

Branded Surveys website

With Branded Surveys, you get paid for sharing your opinion and completing short surveys. You can also cash out for PayPal money or gift cards with only $10.

Plus, its Branded Elite program pays you with bonus points at the end of the month if you answer enough surveys. This is a nice free money bonus, and it makes Branded Surveys one of the best options if you're grinding out surveys.

  • Requirements: You must reside in the United States, Canada, UK, or Australia and be at least 16 years old
  • Pay: Branded Surveys can pay a few dollars per hour
  • Payment Methods: You can cash out for PayPal cash or dozens of gift cards once you earn $5

Try out Branded Surveys!

Freecash

One final alternative to SurveyWorld worth trying is Freecash. And I think this is the best choice if you want a variety of earning options outside of surveys.

With Freecash, you can get paid to play cash games, answer surveys, shop online, and more. Plus, you can cash out with gift cards, PayPal, or crypto, so there's tons of variety.

Signing up is free and only takes your email. And the mobile gaming offers are particularly lucrative, and this is now one of my favorite gpt sites.

Try out Freecash!

Who Can Use SurveyWorld?

It’s not entirely clear who can and cannot join SurveyWorld. They state on their website that it's available in over 45 countries but don’t specify which ones.

It’s important to remember again that SurveyWorld will simply redirect you to other survey sites, meaning you will have to fit the requirements of each site you complete surveys.

If you’re over 18 years old and live within the US, UK, or Canada you should have no problem accessing almost all survey sites.

How Do I Contact SurveyWorld Support?

The only way to contact SurveyWorld’s support is through its Facebook page, which is a downside.

Technical issues you may face in terms of payments will need to be resolved with the sites you are doing your surveys on as SurveyWorld is not responsible for each site.

Final Thoughts – Is Surveyworld Worth It?

Although SurveyWorld is not a scam, there are definitely better options for making money online. I don't think it's worth signing up for because the site doesn't actually pay you, and it's quite misleading. Plus, there are tons of legit survey panels you can just use directly instead.

For example, you can just sign up directly with companies like Branded Surveys to begin sharing your opinion for cash instead. Or, you could explore other fun side hustles like playing games with Mistplay instead.

Ultimately, SurveyWorld is just an unnecessary extra step to take if you’re looking to get paid for taking surveys as you can sign up for countless other survey sites that provide their own surveys.

Consider one of the other non survey aggregator sites mentioned as they will be easier to navigate. Some also provide more opportunities to make money than just surveys.

If you do choose to go with a survey website, consider using a separate email address not to clog up your inbox with survey related promotions.

It’s also a good idea to make sure you have anti-malware software installed on your computer in case you end up on a sketchy website.

The bottom line is that survey sites won’t make you $1,000 a day or anything close to that. But if you’re ready to put some time into it you can definitely accumulate some extra money.

Hopefully, our Surveyworld.me review helps you decide if this site is worth your time or not.
