Is Reel Rush Legit Or A Scam? – Here’s My Honest Review

People love watching short-form content like reels. And an app called Reel Rush claims that you can actually earn passive income for the time you spend watching videos. It's basically a clone of TikTok, except you earn small amounts of money the more videos you watch.

But here's the thing: Reel Rush barely pays you anything and makes it incredibly difficult to cash out. And it becomes harder and harder to earn as you reach the $10 minimum withdrawal requirement.

This is a tactic many money-making apps use. And in my testing of ReelRush, it's taken ages just to earn over $1 with the app. I don't think I'll be able to cash out for weeks or even months, so I don't think this app is worth it.

My Reel Rush review is going to cover how this app works, what other users are saying, and how you can decide if this app is worth downloading or not.

My Key Takeaways:

  • Reel Rush is an Android app that says you can earn rewards by watching videos
  • The app is similar to TikTok but pays you with coins as you watch videos and complete tasks
  • You need 100,000 coins to cash out a $10 PayPal reward
  • Users can also complete tasks like downloading games to earn more
  • Reel Rush advertisements are very misleading and this app barely pays and makes it difficult to cash out

Is Reel Rush Legit?

Reel Rush says you can earn real cash by watching videos, and this is technically true. And you don't need to spend money to use the app. However, its advertisements are highly misleading. In my testing, I found that Reel Rush barely pays you anything, and earning becomes slower and slower as you work towards the $10 cash out requirement.

The app is highly rated with a 4.1 star rating and over 1 million downloads on the Google Playstore. But many recent reviews are negative, with users sharing the same complaint I have of low earnings.

There are positive reviews. But I think most of them are fake comments because they seem overly enthusiastic and generic.

Personally, I suggest trying out higher-paying apps versus using Reel Rush.

How Does The App Work?

Reel Rush is similar to other gpt apps out there that pay you to complete tasks. You watch short video reels—most of which are ads—and earn in-app coins for each one. You also earn coins for spinning a virtual wheel, inviting friends, or logging in daily.

Overall, the app is basically a clone of TikTok, and you can swipe through your video feed to watch short-form content.

Reel Rush also prompts you to complete beginner tasks and more advanced tasks to earn. This includes everything from following the company on social media to downloading cash games and other apps.

As you watch videos, you gradually accumulate coins. And from the start, it looks like an awesome passive income app.

However, let me explain how cashing out works, because that's where Reel Rush falls short.

Cashing Out & Reward Options

Reel Rush claims you can cash out through PayPal after watching short videos. However, you need 100,000 coins to request a $10 cash out. And based on my testing, this would take most people weeks or months to reach just by watching videos.

A common complaint is that once users get close to the payout threshold, their coin earnings mysteriously slow down, or they hit glitches that prevent them from cashing out at all. There are also delays with payouts even after reaching the threshold, and some users report never receiving their money.

And if you look at my screenshot, I've only earned 10,200 coins or so after testing out the app for over a week. I don't watch that many reels, but this is such a low amount of earnings!

Just look at some of the app store reviews from real people. Everyone is complaining about this. And I think Reel Rush's ads you see online are super misleading.

What Do Other Users Think About The App?

Like I mentioned, reviews on the Google Play Store are mixed. However, I think many of the positive reviews are fake comments based on how they're written.

When you do come across a review that looks like it was written by a human, it often looks like this:

As you can see, this user also complains that Reel Rush's ads are misleading. They also explain how their earnings have slowed down, making it impossible to reach the $10 cash out requirement.

Here are other common complaints you see on app store reviews:

  • “Takes way too long to earn real rewards.”
  • “Crashes constantly.”
  • “Flooded with ads and repetitive content.”
  • “Rewards suddenly stop once you get close to cashing out.”

In short, this app seems like a flop and I don't suggest using it.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Free to download and use
  • Simple interface
  • Occasionally pays small amounts if you’re persistent

Cons:

  • Extremely low earnings
  • Misleading payout expectations
  • Lots of ads, most of which are just other money-making app promotions
  • Glitches and slowdowns near cash-out thresholds
  • Poor user reviews and limited customer support

What Are Some Better Apps To Use?

I love testing out beermoney apps, and I like the concept Reel Rush is going for. But I think this app falls extremely short.

Here are some other passive apps I suggest using, including some that pay you for watching videos:

These apps and sites won't make you rich. But I've tested them all and cashed out with them successfully, which can't be said for Reel Rush.

Is Reel Rush A Scam?

Reel Rush isn’t a straight-up scam in the sense of stealing money or personal info. But in my opinion after testing it out, I think this app is largely a waste of time and makes very misleading claims.

Is Reel Rush Worth It? – My Final Thoughts

Personally, I don't think Reel Rush is worth using. Even if you watch reels every single day, it's going to take you forever to cash out at $10. Plus, there are so many negative reviews from users who say earnings slow down to make it impossible to cash out in the first place.

This is just based on my research and testing. You can try Reel Rush if you like, but I think other side hustle ideas are more worthwhile.

I hope this review was helpful!
