This year you can overspend on back-to-school shopping, or you can save money on back-to-school shopping with this one simple trick!

Save Money on Back to School Shopping

Back-to-School Shopping Scenario #1: Your daughter needs school uniforms from Lands End, so you hastily go to their website and spend $110 on 3 shirts and 2 skirts plus $10 for shipping.

Let’s rewind that scenario, and try again!

Back-to-School Shopping Scenario #1, Take 2: Your daughter needs school uniforms from Lands End, so you start your shopping on Ebates.com, and discover a coupon code for 25% off your entire order plus free shipping! Even better, you’ll earn 6% cash back from Ebates!

Do the math:

  • 25% off coupon code $27.50
  • free shipping + $10.00
  • cash back + $4.95

________

  • TOTAL SAVED $42.45

Back-to-School Shopping Scenario #2: You braved the crowds on tax-free weekend to buy a new pair of shoes for your son at JC Penny. After driving to the mall and waiting for a parking space, you discover that JC Penny is sold out of his size. You head home with a disappointed son.

Back-to-School Shopping Scenario #2, Take 2: You skipped the crowds and the parking hassles by shopping online. You started your online shopping at Ebates and found a coupon code for 15% off at JC Penny. There’s even an added bonus! You’ll earn 6% cash back from Ebates! The perfect $40 pair of shoes that your son wanted are looking even better!

Do the Math

  • 15% off coupon code $6.00
  • 6% cash back + $2.04

_______

  • TOTAL SAVED $8.04

Back-to-School Shopping Scenario #3: After an entire stressful day of shopping, your teenage daughter still hasn’t found the perfect backpack.

Back-to-School Shopping Scenario #3, Take 2 Your teenage daughter just discovered Ebags.com and their huge selection of backpacks! They have exactly what she wants, it’s on sale for $30, and you’ll earn 12% cash back from Ebates.

  • 12% cash back $3.60

_______

  • TOTAL SAVED $3.60

The moral of this math lesson?

Start all your online shopping trips at Ebates.com, and you’ll discover money saving coupons codes plus earn cash back on your purchases! I appreciate your financial suggestions, they are easy to understand I implement. I shop with Ebates and have received over $123 this year in “Big Fat Checks”. It feels so good to know that I am receiving money back on a purchase I would already be making. I just received a check this week for $14.82 which is so fun!

I’ve been a member of ebates for years – always check there whenever I shop online… just got a 10% rebate (about $18) on a hotel room when we were in Cincinnati two weeks ago.

i’m a long time ebates member. . .I mostly make small purchases, like at macy’s and bath and body works, but they add up! I would say I’ve saved about $100 over the past couple of years.

I took advantage of tax free shopping and using ebates to do some school shopping – I shopped at Van’s and got free shipping and earned a 15$ecertificate for next purchase and I shopped at Kohl’s earning 20% off purchase plus 10$ kohls cash and I will earn cash back from ebates as well!

I LOVE ebates.com! My most recent savings was booking a hotel on hotels.com through ebates. Ebates showed me a coupon code to save money on a booking, hotels.com already has discounted rooms AND I got 3.5% cash back. Total savings: over $120 for a four night stay!
