-
Switch on the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the baking sheet to hold and keep the toast warm.
-
Over medium-high heat, put the skillet or griddle. Pour a teaspoon of oil.
-
While waiting for the griddle to heat up, squeeze the juice out of the orange and put it a shallow bowl.
-
Crack the eggs to the same bowl and pour sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and milk. Mix.
-
Slice the bread in half and put as many slices as the skillet can hold along with the egg mixture.
-
Soak the bread on each side for about 30 seconds to minutes. Bear in mind fresh bread absorbs more than stale bread. So, be careful as fresh bread might fall apart as you move it into the frying pan.
-
Gently, transfer the bread and wait until each side is brown enough. Put them on baking sheet and place them in a warm oven to keep them fresh.
-
Grab the bananas. Peel and cut them.
-
Thaw out the butter in a frying pan. Place the bananas and fry them up until they are brown. Continue whisking the sugar until it melts.
-
Pour the orange juice and stir up until the juice become syrup. If it becomes thick, pour more orange juice.
-
Put the toast on a platter and put some caramelized bananas. Add sausage, ham, bacon or hash brown.
-
Put slices of orange to improve the taste of the dish.
