It’s Ash Wednesday, and Lent has begun!
The meatless thing on Fridays is no big deal for me since I’m a vegetarian, but apparently a popular Lenten penance is to give up meat entirely and donate the money saved to a food bank! That’s right, go veggie for 6 weeks! Last year, a couple of my friends gave up meat for Lent, and they were always begging for recipes!
If you’re giving up meat for Lent or just need a few new recipes for your Friday dinners, The Budget Diet will feature a vegetarian recipe each Friday for the next 6 weeks, and don’t worry, nothing weird like tofu and spouts!
