- Produce Wash – It’s hard for any money saving mom to justify spending $6 on a bottle of produce wash, but we all know the importance of removing pesticides and bacteria from our fruits and vegetables. It’s baking soda to the rescue again! In a spray bottle, mix together 1 cup water, 1 cup vinegar, 2 tablespoons baking soda and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Spray fruits and vegetables, let sit 5 minutes and rinse. No more pesticides, no more bacteria, no more dirt…thanks baking soda!
