Back to School
If you just can’t wait to start back-to-school shopping…The Budget Diet girl has a few money saving suggestions! (More to come next month!)

  1. Don’t buy any new clothes until you’ve cleaned out the closet…make 3 piles: save, sell, donate.
  2. Summer means free time, so take this opportunity to check out your local Goodwill, Thrift Store or Consignment Shop.
  3. Have you ever thought of T.J. Maxx, Marshalls or Ross for backpacks? Last year my daughter found a name brand backpack for $14…originally $69!

Shopping Calendar
July is a great time to buy…

  • Broadway Tickets
  • Butter – remember, it freezes well!
  • Furniture
  • Paint
  • Suits
  • Fruits – blueberries, raspberries, plums, peaches, watermelon
  • Veggies – cucumbers, tomatoes, summer squash, corn, green beans and zucchini

Thanks to my friends at for keeping us up-to-date on the best buys each month!
