Fake It Frugal Bisquick Mix
Thanks to my frugal friend Michele for sharing her recipe to make your own Bisquick. It's frugal, fast and it makes a bunch!
- 1, 5 lb. bag all-purpose flour
- 5 teaspoons salt
- 20 teaspoons sugar
- ⅔ cup baking powder
- 2 cups shortening
- Mix together all dry ingredients.
- Add shortening and mix until a crumb consistency is achieved.
- Store in 3 large zip top bags or other airtight containers.
To make pancakes...use 2 cups of mix, 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk.
