Craving pizza? Here are a few options:

The American Way: Order pizza! (approx. $9 per large pizza with a coupon)

The Cheaper Way: Buy a frozen pizza at the grocery (approx. $6 per pizza)

The Budget Diet Way: Make your own! (always less than $3 per pizza!)

Now…here are 6 frugalicious and fast ways to make pizza crust, no recipe required!

Biscuit Pizzas: Individual pizzas…perfect for a slumber party! Flatten a canned biscuit & top with sauce, cheese & your favorite toppings. Bake according to biscuit package instructions.

English Muffin Pizzas: Individual pizzas…create a make your own pizza bar for dinner! Top english muffins with sauce, cheese & your favorite toppings. Bake at 400 until cheese melts.

Frozen Bread Dough Pizzas: This tastes the most like real pizza! Thaw 1 loaf of bread dough in a greased 12″ x 16″ baking pan according to package instructions. (Note: I usually do this in the morning, and it’s thawed in time for dinner.) Press to fit the pan. Bake 10 minutes at 400. Top with sauce, cheese and your favorite toppings and bake 10 – 12 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.

Frozen Roll Dough Pizzas: This is the personal pizza version of frozen bread dough. Follow the same directions as the frozen bread dough except press the rolls onto a greased cookie sheet allowing an inch between each pizza.

Tortilla Pizzas: If you’re a thin & crispy crust fan…this one’s for you! Prick a tortilla a few times with a fork and lightly brown (directly on the oven rack) in a 400 degree oven…watch carefully, this only takes a few minutes. Remove the crispy crusts & top with sauce, cheese & your favorite toppings. Bake at 400 degrees just a few minutes or until cheese melts.

Bread Machine Pizza: Dust off your old bread machine & try to find the recipe book that came with it! Bread machines make yummy pizza crusts for just pennies!

How about “make your own pizza” for dinner tonight!
